Living in Portsmouth, the maritime capital of Britain, and having a Royal Navy background I had many commissions from Navy contacts. My father served on the Ark Royal in the early 70’s and this painting was for one of his friends. Its shows the Ark sailing into wind with a Buccaneer landing-on.
